André and Nadia began their journey as business partners over 20 years ago, running an import/export company in Brazil. A decade later, their passion for coffee led them to start trading Brazilian coffee in Brazil for local roasters and exporters.
With deep roots in Brazil's top coffee-producing regions—Nadia from Minas Gerais and André from Espírito Santo—they bring a wealth of expertise and a shared passion for coffee. In 2017, they moved to Australia and founded Southland Merchants.
Dedicated to ethical relationships, André and Nadia strive to share Brazil’s rich coffee heritage while fostering strong connections with growers, roasters, and the Australian coffee community.
